MY MIND!!

I've finally managed to get my Stranger Things shrine in a semi-finished state. There are things that I wanna change and add, but I need to wait for The First Shadow pro-shoot first, and I also need to look at something else for a while because this shrine has flayed my mind.

Honestly, I'm going to be so happy to work on different projects for a while lmao, this shrine was never ending. Also I can finally catch up on the video-games and YouTube videos I've had to put on hold!

Feeling Funkey

I finally revisited the first shrine I ever made (U.B. Funkeys) and polished it up. It isn't perfect, and it's lacking mobile refinement, but it's at a point where I'm comfortable leaving it alone.

Speaking of mobile, my last optimisation seems to have done the trick for getting the site to work on mobile, but it's a bit of a pain to use. I'm working on a fix, but drop-down navbars are a pain so it's slow going.

Lastly, I'm signing up to some more webrings! I recently joined the No AI webring, and more will be coming.

I've been struggling to work on the site because I have so many ideas for shrines and quizzes and cliques and other things I wanna do! Decision paralysis is a bitch.

The Blog Begins!

It's finally finished. My long-ass essay on Stranger Things' Camazotz storyline has been published to the blog! It's over 9500 words, which is 1000 words longer than my university dissertation.

If you like Stranger Things, there's more where that comes from! I have three more blog entries planned on the topic. And if you don't like Stranger Things, uh... I'm sorry.

In other news, I've been trying to optimise the site a little for mobile. I suspect the reason why the site is unusable on mobile is due to my liberal (liberal, liberal) use of box-shadows and text-shadows. So we will see if cutting down on that a little for mobile users will help.

Cringe Zone, Comments, What's Next?

Everybody please give a warm welcome to [REDACTED] from Stranger Things! He's the newest addition to my Fictional Crushes shrine, and he also brings with him some QOL improvements to the Cringe Zone shrines (Code has been cleaned up a little and everything is now bigger and easier to read).

Alongside that, I've also successfully added comments sections using Virtual Observer's fantastic Comments Widget. RabbitNET has had comments before, but these ones are much more robust and bespoke. You can currently find them on the Pixel Cliques page, as well as The Cringe Zone shrines.

But what's next for RabbitNET? Well, the immediate next step I need to work on is getting RSS feeds set up. It's a boring bit of work, but it needs to be done. After that, I'm not sure! All of my next projects (Making personality quizzes, joining more Webrings, joining more pixel cliques) are going to involve a lot of art. And I'm kind of burned out on that. I have blog posts I need to finish up and get uploaded, but this website overhaul used up the last of my braincells.

So, we'll see how I feel once the RSS feeds are up and running. Hopefully, the next time you read one of these updates, it'll be from your RSS reader of choice.
