Pixel Cliques are online clubs wherein a user creates a themed sprite (or multiple!), in accordance to the club's rules. These sprites are then shared among club members through the club's homepage or through individual user's webpages. Back in the day, pixel cliques could sometimes have more complex rules and gameplay, but these days pixel cliques typically involve customising a template created by the club creator, and displaying your creation on your site. People are then free to take your art and display it on their own page too, with a link back to your page.

This way, pixel cliques can be a great way to get introduced to a bunch of great pixel artists, and collect their art!
